Mold Remediation Process
From the onset, our technicians will set up a containment area surrounding the specific area where mold has been found. In an effort to avoid cross contamination we will set up negative air scrubbers to remove any toxic particles from the air. In our demolition phase, our technicians will remove the affected areas. This may include the floor, drywall, insulation, Government regulation mandates that we will scrub down the mold-infested area and apply antimicrobial agents to complete the cleaning procedure.
After a mold removal job is finished, we often opt to keep our cleaning machines onsite for an extra day. You are then able to schedule a mold inspection by a third party. This will assure that we have done the job we set out to complete. If any additional mold is found, we will revisit the site and complete and suggested recommendations.

What is Mold?
Mold is a growth caused by excess humidity. It is considered a fungus. Mold is a microorganism that is a crucial element in the decaying process of living organisms
Tiny mold spores fly in the air surrounding moldy areas. This gives a mold-ridden area its distinctive smell. Truth be told, mold spores can be found almost anywhere. Mold can be found outdoors and even in non-damp surroundings. In interior spaces, mold spores can often develop a toxic environment that can destroy a person’s respiratory system. There are many types of mold that can grow in your home.
Mold can take on many colors. The color of any mold growth determines the type of mold it is. Additionally, color and texture will enable a technician to determine what the mold is feeding on. How Can I Test If There is Mold in My House?
First and foremost, use common sense. If you smell a musty odor, you are guaranteed to have mold.. Visually, mold can be seen as a discoloration of any organic material. The color range can be quite extensive, ranging from white to orange and green to black.
In most cases, testing for mold in a home does not make sense as every home has a certain level of mold contained therein. As such, it is not practical to test for mold growth in a home. Every home will trigger for a certain level of mold presence. Unfortunately there are no parameters for “reasonable” levels of mold in a home or office building. To get a good understanding of the extent of mold you may be exposed to, you need to perform a large sampling of mold. This process can be expensive as it requires certain equipment and training processes only professionals possess.
If you are still considering having your home mold tested, there are businesses that provide mold testing. Limegreen Restoration is one such business.
